Compact, field ready, and weighing only 9 ounces, the kit is designed to accommodate one year tour of duty, placing primary emphasis on reading the Bible daily, making personal application to Christian principles discovered and recording events of the day as they apply in a daily Journal.

Shortly after my 19th Birthday, I enlisted in the United States Army, completed basic training at Fort Benning, GA (Sand Hill) and Signal School at Fort Gordon, GA, received orders to Vietnam, and landed in-country February 9th, 1968 during the infamous Tet Offensive.

I recall seeing a Chaplain on two occasions during my tour of duty.  I had a Bible, but no guidance or spiritual support.  I would occasionally read verses in Psalms at random, seeking comfort.

Primarily, I used my Bible to mark off the days until my tour would be over inside the cover .  I can assure you, when everything was blowing up around me, I was praying my heart out, pleading with God to stop the attack.

We believe the kit provides the tools needed to encourage faith during what is a very difficult time for our service men and women.
